Come along shrimp catching and experience a whole world beneath the surface.
Lakolk is much more than just a lovely bathing beach, the coast is also home to sandschrimps and many other wonderful creatures.
See the beach with "new" eyes and discover a sea of life!

The shallow water on Rømøs westfacing beaches teems with life. When you swipe the push-net across the bottom, it is therefore not only sandshrimps that end up in the net. You can also be lucky to catch crabs, brittlestars, small fish and many other exciting animals. However, we content ourselves with examining the "by-catch" before we gently release the the animals again, but the largest shrimps go into the pot and onto the pan, so that we can taste them. Shellfish are a real delicacy, so it pays off to learn how to peel them.

Lakolk Beach at the car-free zone. Drive south just after the descent and follow the dunes all the way down to the row of poles, that demarcate the car-free zone. Follow the row of poles down towards the water, where you will find us by the green beach flags. Please be there 10 minutes before the tour starts.
