Bunkertour

In the latter half of the 2. World War, a state-of-the-art and top-secret strategic radar position, "Robbe Nord", was placed on the northern part of Rømø. Today the positions old bunkers for radar systems, searchlights and anti-aircraft guns are hidden in the Tvismark Forest Plantation - and we have the keys to a number of them! Some of them are easily accessible through a door, but at one of them you have to crawl through a "narrow" ventilation pipe to get inside.

The tour goes along paths and old trenches between the bunkers. So come along and hear about the island's military importance as a base for one of the 2. World Wars technologically most advanced radar installations.
