Marine debris

It is estimated that around 150 million tons of marine debris are already floating around in the ocean and additional 6 million tons are discharged every year. Around 3/4 is plastic, which takes nature half a century to decompose.

Nature is our foundation of life, nothing more, nothing less. Therefore, it is of course regrettable that waste is left behind in nature around us. Still, it feels good to be part of a marine debris tour. Not only can you help to leave nature a little cleaner, but hopefully you will also be a few good nature experinces richer.

We meet at Naturecenter Tønnisgård and drive from here in our own cars, to an area where waste needs to be collected.

After the tour, we will gather for a cup of coffee or tea, while we take a look at the day's finds.
