Behind much of the life you experience here at the house lies the Tønnisgård Association.
It is the association that forms the heart of our many non-commercial activities and local engagement on Rømø.
What does your support go towards?
When you become a member of the association, you help ensure that we can continue to promote and protect the natural environment we all cherish so much. Among other things, the association is responsible for:
- Beach clean-ups: Where we work together to clear the beaches and keep the Wadden Sea clean.
- School programmes: We invite local schools into nature’s classroom so that the next generation learns to understand and look after their local environment.
- Talks and outreach: We often organise talks or free tours where we share our knowledge and enthusiasm for the area.
